Chris & Alexis- Pasco, WA

We traveled to Pasco, WA last weekend for Jafar's cousin's wedding- it was BEAUTIFUL!!! The wedding was held in Pasco, at the Moore Mansion; an historic mansion right on the Columbia River. The weather was great, the food was delicious, and the wedding was tons of fun! Here are some of our photos...

The Other Washington

If you have never been to Washington D.C., (or if you haven't been since your eighth grade class took a trip there) I highly recommend taking a long weekend to visit this historical city.  I recently had the chance to go to the D.C. area and I was truly taken aback when I saw the capital and all of the monuments, and felt the patriotism that I didn't even know I had.  I walked all over the city from the Smithsonian to the Lincoln Memorial, from the World War I Memorial to the White House, to the Washington Monument and more.  The buildings are old, white, laden with marble and columns and statues.  It is an extremely beautiful city that everyone should take the time to visit.

one year and counting

Well, we made it!  Our first year of marriage has been a wonderful ride full of learning about each other and ourselves...  We spent our anniversary in Allyn with Hailey's family.  To our surprise, uncle Steven cooked a feast similar to our wedding dinner so that we could actually experience it on a calm stomach (no wedding day jitters).  It was an amazing weekend spent with family and each other.  Any advice for married couples out there after year one?  Laugh often, over-communicate, find a Thai restaurant close to home, cheer for the same team, remember your honeymoon, AND be each others' best friend.

Here is one of our favorite photos taken by Hailey's brother-in-law, Jeff. It's the view from the condo where they were staying in Makaha.  This dreary Northwest weather we have been experiencing lately has had us wishing we could take off to paradise and soak up some much needed sunshine.  Snow during the last few days of March?  Something is not quite right.
